Alex is a third-generation French baker and has been baking bread for CERES Organic Bakery, which opened in March 2021. Alex sources locally milled, organic flour from Rockpaperflour bringing you the freshest bread with the lowest food miles.
Alex grew up in a small town called Guerande, located in Brittany on the west coast of France and moved to Australia in 2008. He's always wanted to become a pastry chef and went to bakery school in France at the age of 15.
Organic and sustainable farming is really important to Alex. Using local millers and sharing resources with local bakers to promote sustainable ways of baking is always at the heart of what he creates.
